4 Louisiana men arrested during undercover child porn sting, authorities say

Authorities have¬†arrested four men suspected of distributing thousands of pornographic images involving children, according to a statement from Louisiana Attorney General Buddy Caldwell’s¬†office.

Brian Boiteaux, 28, Scott Whittington, 45, Jimmy Parker, 44, and Zachary Hardouin, 32, were arrested on charges of possession of child pornography and face up to twenty-year prison sentences on each count if convicted at trial.

The arrests came following a multi-agency investigation led by Caldwell’s office’s Cyber Crime Unit that included members from Louisiana State Police, the New Orleans Police Department, Homeland Security Investigations, the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office, United States Postal Inspection Service and other affiliates of the Internet Crimes Against Children task force.

Caldwell’s office announced the arrests in a statement Monday (Feb. 23). NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune reported the arrests of Parker and Hardouin — both of Metairie — on Feb. 11.

Authorities said Parker was found with more than 3,000 sexually explicit images on a computer confiscated from his home. He faces the most charges of the group and was booked on 34 counts of distribution of child pornography and three counts of possession of child pornography, according to the statement from Caldwell’s office.

Hardouin — who was booked on two counts of possession of child pornography and two counts of distribution of child pornography — is said to have shared at least two films depicting young girls in sexual acts, authorities claim. Detectives said a “plethora” of pornographic images including juveniles were found on Hardouin’s computer.

Records show Whittingon, of Jefferson, was arrested Feb. 11 after investigators found roughly 10 videos of children as young as three-years-old being sexually assaulted. Whittington was booked on one count of possession of child pornography, records show.

Boiteaux, of Constance Street in New Orleans, was the last of the four men to be arrested and was booked Friday (Feb. 20) on 15 counts of possession of child pornography, records show.

“Through our continued work with this great network of law enforcement affiliates and by utilizing the proper tools and resources available, we remain committed to tracking down these offenders who abuse and exploit innocent children online,” Caldwell said in a prepared statement.
