MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — A Bunker Hill, W.Va., man was charged Monday with child-pornography possession and distribution in Berkeley County (W.Va.) Magistrate Court.

Christopher Lee Myers, 35, of Currituck Court was charged with single counts of possession of child pornography, distribution of child pornography and possession of child erotica, court records said.

West Virginia State Police Cpl. F.H. Edwards said in a complaint that the agency began investigating the allegations after receiving a complaint in April 2017 from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Police seized multiple items from the defendant’s home in October, including Blu-ray discs that contained 14 child-pornography videos that totaled more than 66 minutes, court records said.

Some of the videos depicted an adult male having sexual contact with female children, some younger than 5, court records said.

Police also found a series of illicit photographs that depicted a 12- or 13-year-old girl posing in a sexual manner, records said.

Police also obtained evidence that child-pornographic content had been uploaded from the home, records said.

Edwards said in his complaint that the defendant admitted that he shared files online as part of an exchange to receive images in return.
