CENTRAL WISCONSIN (WAOW) –
Thousands of reports of child abuse or neglect are made in central Wisconsin each year. The numbers are staggering, with more than 600 confirmed cases in 2016 throughout the area.
For experts who see it every day, they say it’s only getting worse.
“People may be know it’s going on a little bit but not to the extent we’re seeing every single day,” said Tracy Chernetski, a social work supervisor with Langlade County.
