Harvard Students Lose Acceptances After Posting Inappropriate Memes

Did you know at least 40 percent of college admissions officers look at prospective students’ Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook? While some colleges use this information to learn more about students’ interests and skills, they can also find negative things that could affect admissions offers. In a recent case, Harvard officials withdrew acceptances for at least ten students in the Class of 2021 after they posted obscene, racist, or inappropriate messages and memes in a Harvard group chat.
