Two Piedmont teenagers were charged with making a terrorist threat this week, according to the Piedmont Police Department.
Around 8:30 p.m. Monday, a parent notified Piedmont police about a possible threat. Police arrested and charged a 13-year-old male with making a terrorist threat just before 10 p.m. the same night, police said.
The 13-year-old was taken to Coosa Valley Detention Center.
Piedmont High School staff reported a possible threat to police around 3 p.m. Wednesday. Around 6:15 p.m., Michael Glenn McFry, 18, was arrested and charged with making a terrorist threat, police said.
McFry was taken to the Calhoun County Jail. He is set to appear in court April 19, police said.
