A bloomin’ good walk for Foxhill special needs centre – North Coast Courier | #specialneeds | #kids


Close to 200 people took part in the Bloom Centre fundraising beach walk on Saturday morning.

The 1.6km walk started from Tiffany’s beach to Chaka’s Rock tidal pool.

Bloom fundraiser, Debbie Nicholson, said after the bad weather the night before, they were a little anxious.

“We woke up to the most glorious sunrise and the event was awesome.

“With fun activities and a treasure hunt along the way it was an action-packed morning and great for all ages (even some of our furry friends joined in).

“Thank you to all who came to support us,” said Nicholson.

She said walkers were also encouraged to bring plastic packets to collect rubbish along the way.

The beach walk was a first as a Bloom fundraiser and they hope to make it an annual event.
