ADAM ROSENBERG | Maryland Daily Record | #predators | #childpredators | #kids

Adam Rosenberg had prosecuted hundreds of domestic abusers, sex offenders and child predators for the Baltimore City State’s Attorney’s Office and then built the Baltimore Child Abuse Center into a national leader in violence prevention. Rather than stop there, Rosenberg has overseen the alignment of the center with Lifebridge Health and debuted the new facility for the Center for Hope in May.

The center offers programs to address violence throughout the life span from child abuse, human trafficking, domestic violence, elder abuse and community violence.

The Jill Fox Center for Hope will provide spaces and vital resources so children and families can focus on their health and well-being with the support of a dedicated team of health system professionals who can oversee trauma response programming.

“We’ve made talking about and preventing child sexual abuse something people can do and achieve,” Rosenberg said. “And now we’re leveraging the successful tenants of our work to make effective change in community violence intervention and elder abuse.”

A graduate of Cornell University and the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, Rosenberg takes a collaborative approach as he leads the organization to provide trauma-focused services. The center saw a 13% increase in the number of people helped last year, assisting 5,348 victims of abuse, violent crime and exploitation.

Wendy Myers, executive director of the Maryland Children’s Alliance, worked with Rosenberg when he served on the board of the Maryland Children’s Alliance and helped expand access to child advocacy centers — child-friendly facilities where children can be interviewed, undergo medical examinations and receive therapy.

“Adam provides the experience and collaborative spirit required to strengthen our response to rising statewide child abuse statistics and better protect child victims and families in Maryland,” Myers said.
