A school in Adelaide’s northern suburbs has been closed over fears of COVID–19 exposure.

Parents have been told a member of the Elizabeth Vale School community may have come into contact with someone who has tested positive to coronavirus.

“SA Health has informed us that a member of our school community may have come into contact with someone diagnosed with COVID–19,” a notice outside the school says.

Modbury Hospital’s emergency department in Adelaide’s north-eastern suburbs is also in lockdown.

The South Australian government will hold a press conference at 11:30am ACST.

The state banned travel from Victorian residents farther than 40 kilometres from the SA border overnight and limited travel from Broken Hill to essential travellers.

More to come.
