Original Story:

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation issued a statewide Amber Alert for a 9-month-old girl who was kidnapped in Lawrenceburg Thursday night.

The exact location in Lawrenceburg the girl, identified as Braelee Trapp, was kidnapped is not provided, but authorities said 44-year-old Tony Lynn Lanier forcibly took the girl.

“Lanier is wanted for aggravated kidnapping” the Amber Alert stated.

Police said they are believed to be traveling in a black 2005 Chevy Equinox with Arkansas Tag 430Y2K. TBI officials said it’s unclear which direction Lanier could be heading.

Trapp has been described as a white female with green eyes and brown hair. She was last seen wearing a diaper.

Lanier has been described as a white male with brown eyes, brown hair. He is 6 feet tall and weighs 210 pounds. Lanier was last seen wearing dark navy colored pants, a dark gray shirt with “Buckmaster” on it, and wearing gray-colored shoes.

Authorities said the suspect is known to the family, but the exact connection between Lanier and Trapp remains unclear as they are not related to each other. The Amber Alert stated that the case does not appear to be a stranger abduction.

Officials are urging anyone with information regarding Trapp or Lanier, or the suspected vehicle to contact the TBI at 1-800-TBI-FIND or the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office at 931-762-0450.
