🌱 Center Moriches-Eastport Daily: Off-Duty Cop DWI + Missing! | #parents | #teensvaping

Good morning, people of Center Moriches-Eastport! It’s me again, Diane Witek, your host of the Center Moriches-Eastport Daily.

First, today’s weather:

Colder; breezy in the morning. High: 30, low: 16.

Here are the top stories today in Center Moriches-Eastport:

  1. After rear-ending a vehicle in Westhampton Friday night, an off-duty Southampton Town Police officer was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated. Girardin was placed under arrest, and charged with misdemeanor DWI. “Members of the law enforcement community should be held to a higher standard, so it is disappointing when a member allegedly violates the laws they are sworn to protect,” said Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney. (Patch)
  2. Two teens are once again missing from the Little Flower Children’s Services in Wading River. Kiaralyn Delgado, 16, and Autumn Tucker, 14, left the Little Flower campus together on Friday, Jan. 7 at approximately 3:20 p.m. Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Kiaralyn Delgado and Autumn Tucker is asked to contact the Riverhead Police Department at 631-727-4500. All calls will remain confidential. (RiverheadLOCAL)
  3. The Stony Brook Department of Art’s visual arts program recently partnered with the Long Island Explorium to present a , “A Visual Dialogue on Environmental Issues.” It demonstrates discourse on environmental challenges that affect our most vulnerable citizens and communities.
