A former army dog handler who is suspected of murdering a girl and sexually assaulting three others also killed a male soldier who refused his advances, a French court was told yesterday.
Nordahl Lelandais, 38, who served in the army for three years, told Chambéry criminal court that he had accidentally beaten to death Corporal Arthur Noyer, 23, after a fight in 2017.
“Yes, I took his life but without wanting to,” Lelandais said as he admitted manslaughter but denied murder, which carries a maximum 30-year sentence. “I never wanted to take his life.”
In another case Lelandais is charged with abducting Maëlys de Araujo, nine, from a wedding party in the French Alps in 2017 before murdering her. He has admitted to her
