The center is the county’s second such one-stop location with a multi-disciplinary team, joining the Orange County Family Justice Center in Anaheim. The Santa Ana center is housed on the second floor of the city’s police department, at 60 Civic Center Plaza, but with its own separate entrance.
Murals and other artwork created by local artists served as a backdrop to the ribbon cutting and open house attended by local dignitaries — elected city and county officials, members of law enforcement, and representatives of partner agencies.
The site features a cheery children’s play area and a comfy intake room for visitors to decompress.
Said Santa Ana Police Deputy Chief Ken Gominsky: “When you come to the Santa Ana Family Justice Center, we want to encircle you with people who want to make a difference in your life.”
The center is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. For more information, go to santa-ana.org/family-justice-center or call 714-245-8278.
