The arrest happened Sunday when Malcolm Andre Clark was driving west on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard in a vehicle with no working taillights, Marin County sheriff’s Sgt. Michael Brovelli said. Clark was pulled over at the College Avenue intersection.
The deputy saw the butt of a gun on the driver’s floor board. The Glock 26 9 mm handgun was loaded with a 30-round magazine. A second loaded magazine was located along with more ammunition and an orange ski mask. Clark was also driving without a license, the sheriff’s department said.
Clark, 49, of Richmond remained in custody Monday in lieu of $10,000 bail. He was convicted of rape in Contra Costa County in 2009 and paroled in 2012.
Deputies conducted an enforcement stop. The driver was on CDC parole and a registered sex offender. Deputies saw the butt of a handgun on the driver’s floor board.
