HOLLAND, MI — A man registered as a sex offender in Michigan was accused of exposing himself to two women at a hotel pool this weekend.

Ronald David Barnes, 52, was a guest at the Country Inn and Suites in Holland when, while using the pool at about 9 a.m. Saturday, April 3, he exposed himself to two women in their 20s, according to a news release from the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office.

The women alerted the hotel staff and sheriff’s deputies of the incident, police said.

Barnes, a truck driver from Wolverine, has been arrested previously for indecent exposure and criminal sexual conduct, police said. In this incident, it is not believed that Barnes had any physical contact with any witnesses or victims.

Barnes was arrested on charges of aggravated indecent exposure and being a sexual delinquent offender and taken to the Ottawa County Jail, police said. Barnes was later arraigned on the charges, according to police.

The incident remains under investigation by the sheriff’s office. Anyone with additional information is asked to call 1-877-88-SILENT.
