Calvert County Public Schools Employee George Taylor Accused of Sexual Abuse & Sexual Misconduct

A man who has worked for several schools in the Calvert County Public Schools district has been charged with sexually abusing a minor and is also accused of sexual misconduct with at least two other students.
34-year-old George Andrew Taylor was arrested in January 2020 on charges of sex abuse of a minor continued course of conduct; sex offense third-degree; sex offense fourth-degree; and second-degree assault. These charges all relate to a December 2019 report of child sexual abuse.
According to the police, Taylor is known to the victim’s family. He is accused of abusing the child in Charles and Calvert County.
Taylor was working for Barstow Elementary at the time of his arrest but has since been placed on leave. Before that, he worked at Calvert Country School. He has worked for Calvert County Public Schools for less than two years. He was previously a building worker for the Charles County Public School system between 2014 and 2018.
Taylor has also been investigated for sexual misconduct with students. In 2019, he was accused of inappropriate contact with a student while working as a teacher’s aide at Calvert Country School. Taylor was investigated for exchanging inappropriate instant messages with a student through Facebook. As a result of this investigation, Taylor was transferred to Barstow Elementary School.
He was also investigated for exchanging inappropriate text messages with a 14-year-old student while he was working as a building services worker at Hanson Middle School in 2015.
