#childpredator | Springfield Man Charged With Luring Underage Girl

SPRINGFIELD, NJ – A 24-year-old Springfield man who police said attempted to engage in conversation with an underage girl on an online dating app was charged with luring and enticing a child, according to the Secaucus Police Department.

Police said Nicholas Signorelli used an unnamed internet-based dating app and later traveled to the Secaucus Walmart to meet the 14-year-old on April 5, with the purpose to engage in sexual relations with the child. He was however unsuccessful, police said.

Signorelli was subsequently arrested on April 8 and charged with luring and enticing a child.

The same police department also arrested another man with the same charges on April 9, after detectives posed as a child on the same dating app, in an undercover operation. The man, identified as Nevil Rana, 34, from Wallington, engaged in conversation with a girl whom he believed to be 15 years old and sent her sexually explicit photos of himself, according to police.

“The Secaucus Police Department will exhaust all our resources to protect children and remove these predators from the street,” Chief Dennis Miller said in a press release. “I am very thankful that no child was victimized.”

Both men are scheduled for a court hearing on May 6th, according to the Hudson County Superior Court.
