LUMBERTON — Starting Wednesday area residents will have a new place to get a sub sandwich.

Jersey Mike’s Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled subs, is opening a franchise, owned by Daniel Terracciano, at 3000 N. Elm St. A grand opening and fundraiser to benefit Lumber River United Way is planned for Wednesday through May 2. Customers with a special fundraising coupon may make a minimum $2 contribution to Lumber River United Way in exchange for a regular sub. Customers must have a coupon to be eligible.

“We are excited to be partnering with Lumber River United Way for this grand opening and look forward to raising funds for this great cause,” Terracciano said. “We are proud to be a part of the Jersey Mike’s family and are honored to serve and support the Lumberton community.”

To start, the local Jersey Mike’s dining room will be open at a reduced capacity, with socially distant tables inside, in accordance with federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidance.

Guests can place take-out orders in the restaurant, or for pickup through the website or through the Jersey Mike’s app. Delivery also is available in most areas through the Jersey Mike’s app or through third-party delivery partners. Curbside pickup is available for orders placed in Jersey Mike’s app.

The Lumberton restaurant’s hours will be 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week. It’s telephone number is 910-816-0260.
