For parents of college-bound students, be prepared to have honest conversations about their habits away from home
LA CROSSE, Wis (WKBT) – With the start of the school year closing in, parents of young children and college-bound students may have many questions regarding safety.
For parents who are thinking about sending their kids back to K through 12, U-W Healths says you should review the school’s safety procedures.
Make sure you know if they’re required to wear a face mask or not.
Look for the school’s policy on physical distancing and testing if someone is believed to have contracted the virus.
For parents of college-bound students, be prepared to have honest conversations about their habits away from home.
Some college-aged students may not follow the guidelines as strictly as they would, which could be dangerous when they come home to visit.
If you as a parent are at high risk of having a severe Coivd-19 case, you may want to restrict home visits if your child is taking on more risk than you are yourself.
