#childsafety | Woman jailed after live-streaming sex abuse of child to Midland paedophile

A woman has been jailed for six years after live-streaming footage of her abusing a child over Skype to a Midland paedophile.

Christine Callaghan, 33 was paid £2,285 by Warwickshire-based Dean Petley, 30, to carry out the sickening crimes over three years.

She has now been jailed after admitting four child sexual abuse charges .

Fellow paedophile ring member Jodie Little, who lived in Cyprus, had also performed sex acts in front of young children for Petley.  She was jailed in August for 12 years and four months for the crimes.

Callaghan from Bexhill-on-Sea, East Sussex, admitted distributing category A live streamed videos, distributing a category B indecent live streamed video; and two counts of causing or inciting a girl under 13 to engage in sexual activity.

As well as being jailed yesterday (December 6) she was also given a Sexual Harm Prevention Order and put on the sex offenders register indefinitely.

In October Petley, an automotive engineer from Leamington Spa, admitted 11 charges and jailed for eight years.

Petley, 30, met Callaghan and Little on an adult services website.

Little was convicted under Section 72 of the Sexual Offences Act 2003 which is designed to prosecute British nationals in the UK for crimes committed abroad.

Online chat from Little’s devices showed Petley had asked her to perform sex acts in front of young children.

Little, originally from Huddersfield, sent Petley 10 electronic files, one of which showed her sexually abusing a very young girl.

She had used online usernames such as ‘devil b**** 666’ and ‘Queen of Tabbo’ during the abuse.

Petley was rearrested in May this year after further evidence was found on an encrypted hard drive at his home.

The hard drive also contained a video almost 10 minutes long of Callaghan abusing a young girl.

Jason Booth, NCA operations manager, said: “Petley’s and Callaghan’s convictions were only possible because of our determination to make Jodie Little face justice.

“Distance is not a barrier for the NCA in pursuing UK child sex offenders wherever they are. The investigation into Little has unravelled other leads that our policing partners are working on.

“These were horrendous crimes, but they’re an example of what the NCA is seeing more and more with increasingly worsening cyber-enabled child sexual offending.

He added: “The NCA knows that the scale and severity of offending against children are worsening.
