Cleveland school security guard, Illinois sex offender, charged in child porn investigation

ELYRIA, Ohio — A Cleveland school security guard and an Illinois sex offender both face felony charges in connection with a child pornography investigation.

Brian Sanner, 24, is charged with six felony counts of possessing child pornography. He is being held in the Lorain County Jail on $140,000 bond.

Sanner was a part-time security guard at Cleveland’s Luis Munoz Marin kindergarten through eighth grade school.

David Six, 56, faces the same charges. He is being held in the county jail without bond. Six is a registered sex offender.

The Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force received complaints about the duo downloading child pornography and launched an investigation.

ICAC officers and Elyria detectives raided the duo’s home about 7 a.m. Thursday in the 800 block of Broad Street and seized computers from the home. Both live at the home.

Both were arrested and taken to the county jail, according to police reports.

Six’s conviction stems from a 2012 investigation by federal agents and local police in Illinois.

Six, who was living in Sheffield Lake at the time, had a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old boy in Palos Heights, Illinois, southwest of Chicago.

Six would meet up with the boy at area hotels when he was in Chicago for business. The two met online.

Six was arrested at a Chicago-area hotel on Thanksgiving Day 2012. He was sentenced to 30 months in prison.

Six’s probation was transferred to Lorain County when he moved back to Ohio.
