#collegesafety | Oregon takes top recruiting class in the Pac-12 over Washington

After landing the best class in school history and finishing first in the Pac-12 recruiting class rankings in 2019, Mario Cristobal and his staff are at it again for the 2020 class. The Ducks once again have the No. 1 class in the conference with the addition of Mountain View (Calif.) College of San Mateo safety Bennett Williams.

Bennett Williams, a former Freshman All-American at Illinois in the 2017 season is at College of San Mateo this season after leaving Illinois during the 2018 season. Williams is currently rated as the No. 23 overall JuCo prospect by 247Sports and as the No. 3 JuCo safety prospect. The safety committed to the Ducks over his other offers from Oregon State and Colorado.

With 21 total commits in the 2020 class, the Ducks jumped the Washington Huskies on Tuesday night in the Pac-12 recruiting rankings and now have the No. 15 class in the country with rival Washington right behind the Ducks at No. 16

The Ducks now sit at 245.78 in the 247Sports composite team class score. The Ducks current class features eight four-star prospects including six prospects ranked in the top 247 of the 247Sports composite rankings.

In the past few recruiting cycles, the Ducks have stressed early commitments before the season and the 2020 class shows no differing from that trend with the class mostly at capacity with just over two months away from the early December signing period. Here’s a look at Oregon’s top-ranked Pac-12 recruiting class.
