STRATFORD, CT — The Stratford school district reported several new cases of the coronavirus on Wednesday.

Confirmed cases were reported at four schools and members of the Stratford High School boys lacrosse team will quarantine until May 3, according to officials.

The school district notified community members in an email of the following cases:

Second Hill Lane – 1 positive case, no close contacts.

Flood Middle School – 2 positive cases, no close contacts.

Bunnell High School – 1 positive case, no close contacts.

Stratford High School – 1 positive case. Boys LAX will quarantine from 4/20-5/3. They will return to school on 5/4. All team members should test with a PCR on or after 4/24.

“The affected persons have been instructed to remain home in self-isolation for 10 calendar days and have been provided with additional instructions to follow prior to returning to school and work,” officials wrote in the email. “Family members have also been instructed to self-quarantine (this is 14 days from exposure) and get tested. PCR test should be taken 5-6 days after exposure.

“Anyone who is considered a ‘close contact’ will be contacted by our school nurses and staff. They will provide instructions on the appropriate steps to take regarding quarantine and when to return to school or work.”
