ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Englewood High School is taking extra measures to help students cope with an alleged rape involving one of their own.
Counselors will be on hand for the next two days to support students and their families.
It has been a tough few days for Englewood after details emerged of the alleged rape on a freshman female. Police are still looking for a sixth person who allegedly was involved in the brutal attack.
Investigators say he’s a student at the high school and the additional arrest is imminent. The rape allegedly happened in the backyard of a house in the 3200 block of Galapago Street.
Police have arrested five teens ranging from 15 to 19 years old. The investigation reveals the victim was at a party with 10 to 12 other people. There was underage drinking and marijuana use at the party and at least one parent was home.
The teens in custody are students at Englewood High school except for 19-year-old Daylon Hill. He has been charged with multiple crimes, including sex assault on a child.
Counselors will be at the school starting at 8:30 a.m. Monday.
