COVID-19 cases in Clark County schools on the decline | #coronavirus | #kids. | #children | #schools

Clark County schools have reported 448 new cases of COVID-19 since last week, a decrease from 631 cases reported the week prior. The month of May saw a notable increase in virus cases, with levels not seen locally since the end of the omicron wave in February.

Health officials have warned that the increased use of at-home tests and difficulties providing in-office tests mean the true number of COVID-19 infections is likely to exceed the official statistics — especially in recent weeks as testing has become less frequent.

The following data is updated weekly on the Clark County Public Health website:

  • Evergreen Public Schools: 94 new cases between May 23 and May 29.
  • Vancouver Public Schools: 127 new cases between May 25 and May 31.
  • Battle Ground Public Schools: 81 new cases between May 21 and May 27.
  • Camas School District: 87 new cases between May 22 and May 28.
  • Ridgefield School District: 11 new cases between May 24 and May 30.
  • Hockinson School District: Four new cases between May 25 and June 1.
  • La Center School District: 12 new cases between May 22 and May 27.
  • Washougal School District: 32 new cases between May 25 and June 1.
