DCF Volunteer Case Review Program: Virtual Lunch & Learn Event | #coronavirus | #kids. | #children | #schools

Press release from Foster Care Review:

Oct. 26, 2020

The Massachusetts Department of Children and Families (DCF) is hosting a virtual lunch and learn event for those who are interested in volunteering to be a foster care case reviewer.

Foster care reviewers are volunteers from the community who attend foster care review meetings and assist DCF with decisions about the safety and well-being of children in foster care. Volunteers dedicate a few hours each month to help ensure that current care plans meet children’s needs and to discuss the child’s future beyond the Department, whether that’s returning to live with biological parents, adoption, or guardianship.

If you are interested in more information, bring your lunch and speak with a volunteer coordinator virtually on Friday, October 30, 2020 from 12- 1 p.m. on WebEx. Visit https://statema.webex.com/statema/k2/j.php?MTID=tdb29ba28a080a62d52c6477973a7132c to register.

Once you register you will receive a confirmation email with instructions for joining the session. Contact Veronica Marciniak (Veronica.Marciniak@mass.gov) or Lashanda Stone (Lashanda.Stone@mass.gov) with any questions.
