Delhi Police arrests woman-son duo who kidnapped one-year-old child | #childabductors


Delhi Police solved an abduction case within 24 hours and recovered a one-year-old child who was kidnapped from the city’s Shahid Bhagat Singh Park.

Delhi Police solved an abduction case within 24 hours and recovered a one-year-old child who was kidnapped from the city’s Shahid Bhagat Singh Park. Two persons, a woman and her son, were arrested in connection with the case.

On December 23, PS IP Estate received a PCR calls around 4.10 pm regarding the abduction of an year-old child from Shahid Bhagat Singh Park. On enquiry, the complainant stated that she had brought her children to play in the park. There, a woman aged about 40-45 years struck up a conversation with her and mingled with her family.

After some time, the complainant left to buy biryani for her children from a nearby eatery, while telling her children to wait in the park. Meanwhile, the accused woman snatched her youngest one-year-old child from her daughter and fled.

A police team was formed and they started to search for the missing child and kidnapper. The team analysed footage from multiple CCTV cameras. The police then received inputs that the kidnapper was hiding in Valmiki Basti in the Vikram Nagar area, Delhi.

Immediately, the team conducted a raid and nabbed the woman kidnapper while she was trying to flee from the house. The kidnapped child was recovered from her possession.

The abductor’s son was also found involved in the crime. He helped the accused carry the kidnapped child with her in a taxi and also to hide the child from police. In light of these findings, the son was also placed under arrest.

The accused woman has been identified as a housewife and has six children. She was born in Khurza in Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahr and is illiterate. She came to Delhi 30 years ago. Her son who was arrested is 25-years-old and is a taxi-driver by profession.
