A DEVIOUS paedophile who volunteered to work with vulnerable children at a Bradford youth project has been jailed for 32 months for his fourth breach of a Sexual Offences Prevention Order (SOPO).
Emmett had recently been released from his third jail sentence for offences of possession of child pornography and flouting the terms of the SOPO when he breached it for a fourth time by seeking work that would bring him into contact with children.
Emmett, who was brought in custody to Bradford Crown Court yesterday, was branded an “entrenched paedophile” by Judge Jonathan Durham Hall QC.
He described him as “very devious, manipulative and thoroughly untrustworthy”.
Emmett was jailed for nine months in 2009 for possession of indecent images of children, and given a lifelong SOPO.
In 2012, he was back in court for breaching the SOPO after more child porn was found in his possession and imprisoned for 18 months.
