LIBERTYVILLE, IL — A Lake Zurich man and a Wadsworth man face criminal trespassing charges for refusing to leave the emergency room at Advocate Condell Medical Center after being told they could not visit a patient at the hospital, authorities said. Thomas Stegall and Marcel Barnard were initially denied access to the E.R. at 801 S. Milwaukee Avenue when the patient they wanted to see already had a visitor.

They left the hospital, but hospital staff later found the duo trying to get into the emergency room through another door. They again refused to leave the hospital after security asked them to do so, according to a police report.

Stegall, of the 22000 block of Strum Street in Lake Zurich, and Marcel T. Barnard, of the 1200 block of Iota Court in Wheeling, were arrested and cited for criminal trespassing to property.
