A 24-year-old Edmonton man is facing charges for allegedly luring two teenage girls with Snapchat and sexually assaulting them.

City police say the man started communicating with the teens using the names “Jamie Dole” and “Caramel Thunder” on the social media app over the summer. The man allegedly promised to buy things for the girls, sometimes requesting nude photos in exchange for money.

In August, the 24-year-old met a 14-year-old girl on the app, picked her up at home, and then drove her to his home in west Edmonton where he allegedly sexually assaulted her, police say.

The man also is alleged to have sexually assaulted a 16-year-old girl twice after meeting her on the app — once in a vehicle on July 26, and a second time at his home Aug. 5.

Officers believe there may be other victims, and ask them to come forward to police.

Aaron Renee Prasad Pal, 24, of Edmonton, is facing multiple charges including luring a child under 16 years old, three counts of sexual assault, sexual assault with a weapon, sexual interference, invitation to sexual touching, obtaining sexual considerations, two counts of uttering threats and unlawful confinement. Other charges may be pending.
