Mahhi Vij on parenting Tara, Khushi and Rajveer with Jay Bhanushali
Television couple Mahhi Vij and Jay Bhanushali, who are parents to Tara Bhanushali and two foster children, Khushi and Rajveer, make for one of the telly industry’s most-talked-about couples. The duo, who has often enthralled fans on screen together, for instance, their Nach Baliye stunt, also believe that partnership is the key to successful parenting.
Speaking to Times Now Digital, Mahhi opened up about how her journey as a mother has been. The actress explained that it’s been “incredibly beautiful and exciting”.
“With Jay being the equal partner in raising our children, I believe it to be the most important aspect of my life. We do all the parenting duties together as our kids come before everything else. From nursery rhymes to reading bedtime stories to our kids to diaper changes, feeding sessions and everything in between, I can truly say I am blessed to be a mom,” she said.
Asked as to what’s been her biggest lesson as a mother of three, Mahhi said that she’s become more attentive to details. “From maintaining a balanced environment in the house to ensuring my children feel seen and heard, I try to learn every day and do my best. It’s taught me about unconditional love not only for my kids and spouse but also for myself. It’s also taught me the importance of gratitude and enjoying every little moment life gives you.”
The actress also talked in length about her everyday routine and shared how she and Jay try to find time for each other. “Jay and I try to balance work and family especially since our kids are little. As Jay and I are equally involved, we make sure both of us get our time together and for ourselves without affecting our kids’ schedules.”
She further shared, “We use the time when our kids sleep to catch up on rest or watch a TV show but we do believe it’s important for parents to take care of themselves and this includes exercising, getting enough sleep, and eating right. It’s important to strike the right balance.”
The actress, who has associated with Pampers’ #ItTakes2 campaign, believes that for them, a happy home is a healthy home. She stressed that their routine also includes adding fun to their kids’ routines with storytime and playtime. Mahhi also added that they connect with the message of the campaign, as it’s an important part of their life.
Asked when fans will get to see Mahhi on the screen next, she said, “For now, my focus is 100% on my kids as these are their formative years.”
