A former Montclair High teacher was arrested Monday, Oct. 26, after Fontana police said they found child pornography in a search of the man’s home.

Erick William Meisser, 64, of Rancho Cucamonga, was booked on suspicion of possession and distribution of child pornography. He was being held at West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga in lieu of $75,000 bail.

Police served a search warrant at Meisser’s Pumalo Street home, where they said detectives found several electronic devices with evidence that Meisser downloaded and distributed child pornography.

About 10 years ago, a police news release said, Meisser retired from the Chaffey Joint Union High School District, where he was assigned to Montclair High as an auto shop teacher.

“We do not have any information that any crimes have been committed while he was a teacher at this point,” Officer Kevin Anderson, a police spokesman, wrote in an email. “The investigation is ongoing and we want to make sure there are no students involved while he was teaching. If there were, the Fontana Police Department would like to assist them in any way we can.”

Police ask anyone with information on the case to email them at bguith@fontana.org.
