RED BANK, NJ: A former Red Bank Charter School teacher was charged with sexually assaulting a 10-year-old student announced Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni.
Gustavo Barrientos who also taught in the Long Branch School District as an elementary school teacher, was charged on February 14 with assaulting multiple other elementary school children after a joint investigation of the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office and the Long Branch Police Department.
Barrientos was hired by the board of trustees on September 15, 2020, and resigned three days later.

Investigators are still seeking additional information about Barrientos’ activities.
