Valentine was arrested and accused of sending sexually explicit messages to someone who he thought was a 15-year-old girl in April of 2019 while he was a band teacher with the Crandon School District. Officers say they told Valentine that the “girl” he was talking to was underage on at least three occasions. He was caught on April 1st when he went to a Rhinelander business with the intention of meeting the girl for sex and instead was arrested by officers.

Conditions of Valentine’s sentence include a lifetime registry on the state sex offender registry, counseling, and providing a DNA sample. He will spend a total of 7 years in state prison followed by 5 years of extended supervision.
