Grieving parents block Imran Khan from entering Peshawar school

Grieving parents of the victims of the Peshawar school attack tried Wednesday to block Pakistani celebrity Imran Khan from entering the school where 142 children were killed in a terror strike accusing him of politicizing the tragedy and being busy with marriage plans, The Times of India reported.

The families, who were chanting slogans such as “Go Imran Go,” were holding posters and banners against the cricketer-turned-politician.

The school reopened on Monday after remaining closed for weeks.

During the visit, Khan spoke to students and signed autographs when he finally managed to enter the school.

Also on Wednesday, Khan, who is the PTI Chairman, said he was not going to let education in the country be affected by terrorism.
“The terrorists did not want our children to go to school,” he said, “my aim of visiting the school today was to tell students that we stand united with them,” Khan said.
