Shortly after, police say Maryland State Police troopers stopped the golf cart traveling in the westbound lanes of Route 50. The golf cart was reportedly occupied by five teenaged girls from D.C. ranging in age from 15 to 16 years old.

The man who took the video shared it with FOX 5 on Monday. He tells us that other cars had slowed down around the teens as they rode down the highway, calling the situation “dangerous.”

Police say the girls were charged with Motor Vehicle Theft before they were released to their guardians.
