She believes the main work lies in the following areas:
- Address post-pandemic issues whether academic or social/emotional
- Improve K-3 literacy
- Improve the school experience for diverse groups of students
- Retain our incredibly talented staff
- Assure optimal levels of technology for all students
- Address social/emotional needs of our students
Challenger Emily Donohue is an insurance professional who is seeking office to represent the community’s concerns and preserve educational excellence.
She said she has children currently in the district and understands first hand the issues created by COVID-19.
“Students need to see there is light at the end of the tunnel,” she said.
Incumbent At-Large member Mushir Hassan was selected as At-Large member in 2020.
Hassan is an internal medicine physician and VP Medical Affairs/Chief Medical Officer at Elmbrook Hospital. Hassan told Patch he wants to serve the community in ensuring that the school district remains best in class.
The most pressing issue for Hassan is coming out of the pandemic and ensuring that students receive the educational, social, and emotional support they need to succeed.
