Around 8:30 a.m. Jan. 14, Guthrie Public Schools officials notified the police department of an allegation that a teacher sent pictures of a sexual nature to a minor/student.

Following an investigation, police arrested 43-year-old Shawna L. Kathrein, of Crescent, on a complaint of facilitating, encouraging, offering or soliciting sexual conduct with a minor.

Kathrein was not on a school campus and did not return to the school between the time the incident was reported and when she was arrested, a news release says.
