Incumbent on Marin County Board of Education in danger of losing seat – Marin Independent Journal | #Education

With over 76 precincts and 11,840 votes counted, Felicia Agrelius, appears to be succeeding in her bid to unseat Robert Goldman, a 10-year incumbent on the Marin County Board of Education.

Agrelius has just over 59% of the vote while Goldman has 40.9%. Agrelius has 6,994 votes to Goldman’s 4,846.

Agrelius, 25, who works for Marin County’s only community agency devoted to serving the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community, made eliminating school resource officers to prevent alientation of minority students a central issue in her campaign. Goldman, 79, a retired FBI agent, supports the continued use of the officers.
