SUMMIT, NJ – The Summit Public Schools have reported nine confirmed cases of COVID-19 over the past three days after confirming two new cases on March 11 — one “individual” each at Brayton Elementary School and Summit High School. The case confirmations were detailed in a letter to the “Summit Public Schools Community” from Superintendent of Schools Scott Hough and the principals of the affected schools.

The letter, subsequently obtained by TAPinto Summit from a third party, stated, “The District has been notified that an individual at Brayton Elementary School and an individual at Summit High School have tested positive for COVID-19. Our Nursing Department, in collaboration with the Department of Health, conducted contact tracing and did not identify any potential close contacts at the schools.”
