According to an MPD report, an MPD officer was on patrol at 10:43 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28 and saw a vehicle disregard a stop sign at the intersection of Chickasaw and West McLaughlin. After following the vehicle, the officer reported that it swerved from centerline to shoulder. When he made contact with the driver, he notice a strong marijuana odor emitting from the vehicle. After conducting field sobriety tests, he placed her under arrest.
A search of the vehicle revealed two burnt marijuana roaches in the ash tray and found baggies of marijuana, synthetic marijuana and methamphetamine in her purse.
Mallory B. Baldwin, 18, Madisonville, was charged with disregarding a stop sign, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs/etc. – first offense, first-degree possession of methamphetamine, possession of synthetic cannabinoid, agonists or piperazines and possession of marijuana.
She was lodged in the Hopkins County Jail.
