Man arrested for alleged child porn possession after search

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas –

The Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office High Tech Crimes Unit has arrested a man accused of possessing and distributing child pornography.

Rodrigo Garza faces two charges of possession of child pornography and one charge of distribution of child pornography.

Precinct 4 and the Houston Metro Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force executed a search warrant in the 4200 block of Arbor Knoll in the Atascocita area.

The Beaumont Police Department informed investigators that someone at the residence was sharing photos of child sexual assault on the Internet.

The Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office issued a statement that read in part:

“During the execution of the warrant, investigators discovered numerous images of child sexual assault on his self-identified laptop computer. Rodrigo Garza provided a voluntary statement in which he acknowledged he was the person who has been using the software and has downloaded and viewed images of child sexual assault.”

Garza remains in the Harris County Jail in lieu of $30,000 bond.
