Manhattan babysitter charged with sexually abusing child, may have other young victims as well: prosecutors

A Manhattan babysitter has been charged with sexually abusing a kid he looked after for six years — and prosecutors believe he may have preyed on other kids as well.

Milton Narvaez, 38, was first looked at during “an investigation into the peer-to-peerSHARING of images of child sexual assault,” the Manhattan District Attorney’s office.

The pedophile photo swap examination “has revealed that the defendant may have abused other children who have yet to be identified.”

“Based on the images and videos found on the defendant’sPHONE, computer, and external hard drive, we suspect that he may have abused more children in his care,” DA Cyrus Vance Jr. said.

He asked anyone whose child may have had contact with Narvaez to call his office Child Abuse Unit at (212) 335-4308.

Narvaez, who was a custodian at the Eastern Diocese of the Armenian Church in Midtown, is charged with predatory sex assault, sex abuse and other charges related to the his attacks on the boy, who he watched for six years beginning in 2008. The boy was six when the abuse started, prosecutors said.

Narvaez, who also used the alias Milton Gomez, worked as a nanny and babysitter for other families during the same time period, prosecutors said.

He was also indicted for promoting and possessing a sexual performance by a child.
