Manhattan mounted a seventh-inning threat in its final trip to the plate, as senior Matt Padre (Flemington, NJ / Hunterdon Central) opened the frame up with a single. Game Two

Monmouth was up 2-1 over Manhattan when the game was halted due to darkness in the top of the sixth inning.

The Jaspers scored their first run of the year in their first trip to the plate, as graduate student Richie Barrella (Larchmont, NY / Canterbury Prep) plated Trochiano with an infield single.

The Hawks would rally with two runs in the fourth inning in taking a 2-1 advantage.

Barrella had two of Manhattan’s four hits when the game was halted.
