#minorsextrafficking | DSI arrests Israeli man on charges of child sex abuse

Department of Special Investigation (DSI) officers have arrested an Israeli national at his luxury apartment in Bangkok’s Thon Buri area on charges of child sexual abuse, after being tipped off by the Israeli embassy.

The 44-year-old man identified as Tzvi Herscu, was charged with having child pornographic material in his possession, and child sexual abuse, Pol Lt Col Korawat Panprapakorn, director-general of the DSI told the media in a briefing yesterday.

Pol Lt Col Korawat said the arrest followed a complaint lodged by the Israeli embassy, which also accused the suspect of child sex abuse.

On Monday, DSI anti-human trafficking officials executed a warrant issued by the Thonburi Criminal Court and searched Room 558, rented by Mr Herscu, on the 35th floor of the Urbano Absolute Sathon-Taksin apartment complex in the Klong Ton Sai area of Klong San district.

They were accompanied by Israeli embassy officials, immigration police and representatives of Operation Underground Railroad and LIFT International, non-profit organisations active against human trafficking.

A search of data stored on his computer found video clips of children engaged in sexual intercourse.
