#minorsextrafficking | Rally takes a stand against sex-trafficking – Honolulu, Hawaii news, sports & weather

Lopaka Milliora started this group on Hawai’i Island and challenged O’ahu to raise awareness next. Survivor, Sonia Gomes took on the challenge and facilitated the rally in front of Wai’anae mall Sunday afternoon.

“We have missing keiki, we have runaway keiki. One missing keiki or one run away keiki is too many already. We need to share this awareness. Sex trafficking does happen in Hawai’i and we need to shed some light on this” said Gomes. Gomes continues to share her personal experience to help survivors like her, build courage to come out of the dark, heal and connect with the Ho’ola Na Pua organization.

Lindsey Kinney said in an interview, “it needs to stop now”.
