The death toll from Typhoon Hagibis, which made landfall south of Tokyo on Saturday, has risen to 19, including a 70-year-old woman who fell to her death from a rescue helicopter after she was accidentally dropped. Kyodo News service reports that more than a dozen people are missing after 14 rivers flooded across the country. Some outlying areas have not yet been searched for victims and survivors. Authorities have warned residents that the risk of mudslides will continue for days.
