MP condemns killing of school warden

CLARENDON, Jamaica – Member of Parliament for North West Clarendon Richard Azan on Monday afternoon strongly condemned the killing of a school warden at the Kilsyth Primary School, which is located in the constituency.

“The act was even more dastardly as it was committed in front of the young and impressionable students who were gathering for morning worship before classes,” the MP said in a news release.

The Member of Parliament urged residents to cooperate with the police and provide them with all the available information they may have about the perpetrators.

In the meantime, he has asked representatives from the Ministry of Education to provide grief counselling for the members of the school community.

He also expressed his “deepest sympathy to the members of the bereaved family, school and members of the community”.
