Sara Domres had sex with her 16-year-old student 15 times while planning her wedding – including one tryst at a motel on the night of her husband-to-be’s bachelor party.
Police believe Domres and her former English student had a relationship for nearly a year before some of the boy’s friends reported their concerns to authorities. An investigation turned up handwritten notes police believe were from Domres.
“Baby Boo, I love you now & forever! Please be mine forever & ever. Always, your baby girl. P.S. Good luck on your quiz [smiley face],” one message said.
The physical contact occurred last summer in Domres’ car at a Park ‘n Ride lot in New Berlin and again in October at a Motel 6 in Brookfield, the complaint said. A detective was reportedly able to determine the boy’s cellphone had connected to the motel’s Internet connection on the same date motel records show Domres paid $56.54 in cash for a room.
She pleaded not guilty Friday, posted $1,000 bail and was released.
If convicted, the Sullivan, Wisconsin, woman faces up to six years in prison and a $10,000 fine for each count.
In a statement, New Berlin School District Superintendent Joe Garza called the allegations “troubling, disappointing and incomprehensible.”
It’s unclear whether the two continued their relationship even after Domres got married, but investigators say she did send the boy selfies on her honeymoon.
It was also revealed that Domres’ husband caught her with the boy once in a parking lot of the New Berlin Ale House and that there was a verbal confrontation.
Following her arrest, Domres’ husband has stayed by her side and was in court when she pleaded not guilty to charges on Friday.
She is currently free on $1,000 bond.
