ANDY SHEEHAN: Hey, I’m Andy Sheehan here in East Pittsburgh. I am at a house, which was the site of the abduction of a child yesterday, a baby, who was allegedly taken by the estranged father of the child. Thankfully, the child has been recovered. And that father is in police custody.
But the incident raises another concern. It’s a concern about the AMBER Alert. The incident happened around 12:30 yesterday, but the AMBER Alert was not issued until 5:45, more than five hours later. Tonight at 5 and 6 o’clock, and I’m going to talk to state police about the reasons why, why this delay, and is there a problem with the AMBER Alert system. That’s tonight at 5 and 6 o’clock.
