Newlywed teacher sacked after ‘having sexual relationship with pupil, 14’

A newlywed teacher has been arrested after being accused of having a lesbian affair with a pupil.
Camryn Zelinger allegedly had an intimate relationship with the 14-year-old for two months before her arrest at the school in California on Monday.

The 32-year-old, who got married last August, has since been sacked after police were alerted by a tip-off from the girl’s mum.
Officers claim she had an ‘inappropriate physical contact and communications’ with the student for a couple of months.
She faces charges of lewd or lascivious acts with a minor and annoying or molesting a child under 18.

She was booked into Robert Presley Detention Center before being released on £39,000 ($50,000) bail on Tuesday.
The school, which focuses on music, dance, acrobatics, said councillors would be on hand for students through “this difficult time.
Police said: ‘Encore High School for the Arts has fully cooperated with the investigation and have stated the teacher is no longer employed with them.’
